6 Writers have received a real headline of a grizzly crime committed. Those 6 writers seek to justify that crime from the criminal's viewpoint.
Should they be forgiven? YOU DECIDE.
How responsibly do we judge crime and criminals in our society? Do we dismiss the criminal as 'other'? Do notions of 'right' and 'wrong' too easily become blurred with notions of 'good' and 'evil'? And how easily can a sympathetic character cause us to take leave of our 'better' judgement?
Guilty or Not Guilty? The audience will vote with their voices.
Writers include:
Joel Horwood / Colette Kane / Matt Morrison / Penny Skinner / Tim Price / Lucy Kirkwood
DryWrite presents DRYDANCE
Monday 7 July 2008

1 award-winning writer. 3 talented British choreographers.
Another great night in the history of DryWrite. The DryWrite girls loved DRYDIRECT and LYRICS so much that we thought it was time to try our hands at finding another new way of exploring writing...
This time it's the turn of the choreographers!
We're really thrilled that Simon Stephens (PORT, ON THE SHORE OF THE WIDE WORLD, MOTORTOWN, HARPER REGAN) has written an exquisite piece just for DRYDANCE for the choreographers to explore through movement, dance and physical theatre.
The choreographers are:
Gemma Donoghue / Lucie Pankhurst / Kate Webster
And then after their performances have taken your breath away...we have a little theatrical treat for you!
Deborah Findlay performs the piece in full, as it was written.
We're venturing from east to north too and are excited to be making our debut at the Roundhouse.
